“I’m not a feminist as you know” she felt she had to tell me.
What? I thought, why does this 75 year old woman have to start off the conversation telling me she is not a feminists when it seems clear to me that she represents what the suffer jets fought for? Her right to vote and own property and be person. Her daughter has a successful career and like her mother, not afraid to live unmarried. Her two granddaughters have both graduated from university. All of these women have benefited from feminism and yet their grandmother feels she has to tell me she is not one? She knows I call myself a feminist as her granddaughters continual tease my about being over the dinner table. (I call myself and ecological feminist but that’s another blog.)
Her husband died about 20 years ago at which time she got her driver’s licence. She is a very strong and independent woman somewhat confident in her sexuality and yet she feels there is something wrong calling herself a “feminist”. Where does she get the idea that feminine is “evil” and wrong.
From the mainstream media of course. I know her male friend is an ex-cop and a Sun reader. He was one of those cops that entrapped gays in a sting operation at a local park. The cases all got thrown out of court before the got that far.
Who educates these people?
My theory is that it is the media plants. The people that work for the “firm”, those that operate in the media, the universities and politics. The people behind Stephen Harper like Tom Flanagan who has been quoted as quoting Machiavelli’s “fortune is a woman and it is necessary, if you wish to master her, to conquer her by force." (http://rabble.ca/blogs/bloggers/gerry-caplan/2011/12/how-stephen-harper-creating-new-canada)
So these shills for war and oil and the bankers tell us one thing, we are in Afghanistan to save and protect the woman and children from the abusive Taliban… and yet they are determined to return them barefoot and voiceless back behind the oven.
And why is it that seemingly intelligent strong minded people can’t see the hypocritical thinking of the corporate media and its shills for oil, banks and war?
It’s because the liars know that if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes a “truth”.
They know the power of words and symbols and will tell lies take away their power and redefine them to meet theirs. A quick Wikipedia search and we see feminism defined as “… a collection of movements aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights and equal opportunities for women.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feminism)
And yet the shills want us to think that feminism is somehow wrong.
Why? Because the War Machine is afraid of women.
It they let women have an equal voice we will nurture peace; create a just and equal world for everyone. Greed will go the way of the dodo bird as it seems to be consuming itself anyway.
We cannot dominate nature as we are seeing (male) but we can nurture nature for all of our benefits (female).
So call me a feminist and Uncle Tom a manly male as he calls for the execution of Julian Assange and the raping of women to master them.
Personally i want the women in my life to be my equal... and very different!

Why are we not stopping El Qudafi (Gaddafi) from murdering his citizens?
Because he’s doing the job for us.
When he has eliminated all of the “rebels” then we will take him out or make another trade deal with him.
This will save us from killing all the “rebels” when we take over. He has oil. He’s on our side. Our oil companies are free to “drill baby drill” without questioning El Qudafi’s human rights abuses since 1999. We even help him out with the human rights abuses by building his prisons. It’s a win win for Big Oil and El Qudafi. They both get rich. El Qudafi is our oil man in Libya. He buys Italian weapons and imports hundreds of millions of dollar in Canadian goods and services. Canadian companies work in Libya. “Canadian merchandise exports to Libya declined from $103 million in 2004, to $84.8 million in 2005 and further to $67 million in 2006. They then rose sharply to $195 million during 2007.” (http://www.international.gc.ca/commerce_missions/libya-libye/country-pays.aspx?lang=eng)
Harper’s Government even calls it “Canadian Oil and Gas Trade Mission to Libya”. Like it a mission to help the them.
I know that is such a radical thing for me to say: that we will kill "rebels", "terrorists" (or is that "freedom fighters"?) or "insurgent" but that is what we did in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is the same blueprint that has been used since Operation PBSuccess in Guatemala in the mid 1950’s. Arm the government, fund the counter insurgency and blame the rebels for the deaths. And of course control the media both inside and outside of the country and blame the commies, which has now turned into blame the terrorists.
This is the same blueprint we used in Iraq for the “Shock and Awe” invasion. As Naomi Klein would called it in her book “The Shock Doctrine” this is “Disaster Capitalism” at its best. We bomb all of the communications networks and replace them with ours. We control the message and the message is fear and hatred as we divide the country into opposing groups. (We could have used this time to sell them peace and cooperation.) Then we arm and train them. We sold them AK’s without serial numbers and lost track of the inventory. “But just 10,000 of the nearly 400,000 small weapons were registered by their serial numbers...” (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6407177) Then we hire a few mercenaries, run a few black-ops and get them to fight each other. Instant civil war. And just like in Guatemala there are bodies hanging from street lights in the morning to stop others from speaking out. And just like Guatemala we targeted the leaders of the committees; the activist, the union leaders, the politicians, the clergy, university professors, anyone who won’t roll over or be bought.
So we will let El Qudafi bomb his people for us to clear out those troublesome “rebels” that want to share some of the oil profits instead of living in poverty.
Just like Saddam we will support Gaddafi unless he threatens to trade his oil in Euro’s or not play the game our way. Then like Iraq we will send in the Department of Defence and take him out.
We are in it for the oil not human rights or we could have solved this problem in 1999 and not traded life for millions of dollars in profit.

The new News is what's not in the News
The ProControls quoting the Think Tanks are the ones who get published in the "News" or the weirdo/freak stories that take millions off the path that get pushed to the forefront. The News is full of misinformation unless they are trying to hide a truth within the lies sold to us as truth.
A good example of the weirdo/freak news was the "Ground Zero Mosque" story that was never true in the first place but next thing we have a Koran burner on all the front pages. A minor incident affecting about 50 church goers makes the front pages nation wide because it incited hatred and racism.
As for the ProControls they know how to sell a story. And how to deflate one. They know how to hide a truth amongst the lies when Tom Flanagan said “… everybody knows Parliament was prorogued in order to shutdown the Afghan inquiry…” he knew just what he was doing. It’s an old CIA trick. Admit the truth and take the wind out of the sails. We had them on the ropes at that point and then instantly the story was no longer an issue. Then story then became Shelly “Who is Tom Flanagan” Glover and why Uncle Tom turned on his Man in that he finally got into Power. He didn’t turn on his Man in Power; he threw himself on the grenade for him. Very manly of him.

When the USA was about to invade Iraq I was on my way to Florida to visit my parents. I heard a few short stories on CBC radio about all the protest against the War. I couldn’t wait to get to the USA and hear all about them. My father is a CNN fan plus may parents watch all the local news. My mother falls to sleep with CNN on. Upon my arrival I’m sure that was my first question and I scoured the TV and all of their papers for news on which cities had rallies and the numbers. There weren’t any. Nothing on CNN. Nothing on FOX. Nothing in the local papers. When I was at their friends from NYC I was given his papers, still nothing. I was there for three weeks and did not see or hear about one protest in any of the media. I did see people on the streets with signs and some graphiti.
Now I’m in Canada and there are protests again in the USA and this time there is not one mention on CBC Radio News about Wisconsin.
Here is what I get when I google “Wisconsin protests CBC”: Three stories! And only one from the Globe and Mail that had one paragraph on the protest.
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/arts/television/john-doyle/must-watch-tv-the-revolution-starring-libya-bahrain-and-wisconsin/article1915729/
So the news of the day is what going on in Wisconsin and the Unions in Canada and why the newer and bluer CBC does not want us to know about it. And who is editing the CBC?
I'm sure there's a big NOT written on the proposed protest stories.

The Ethics of Ethics (being unethical is ethical)
People die, it’s a known fact. If you are afraid to profit from that fact then in the words of Tom Flanagan and the ethics of Ezra Levant you just aren’t manly enough. You are probably a lefty who thinks torture is wrong as well. You probably are also against assassinating people that disagree with you. Even Christians, Jews and Muslims condone war so get with the program, there’s money to be made in the name of God!
Lying is profitable. Telling the truth; not so much. If the tobacco industry caved in to the truth decades ago millions of dollars of profit would have been lost. It only cost lives and millions health care tax dollars. In fact, all that money spent on caner treatment made many more people rich so smoking is ethical because it’s good for our economy. Money is valuable; human life, not so much. (Human life is valuable as a labour source and cannon fodder.) Therefore lying is ethical because we all know the economy is more important than the ecology and human life. So we can’t breath, there’s no fresh water to drink, our food is full of poison but at least we had a profitable last quarter! We have been lied to at every level from “ethical oil” and “war is peace” to “milk makes bones”.
For those who haven’t followed Stephen Harper’s every move his oily philosophy is based on the teachings of Leo Strauss. They feel that people are too stupid to figure things out on their own so lying to protect them is good, ethical, it’s even necessary! He lies to us for our own good and for the profit of his rich friends. That’s the new ethic: The Noble Lie. It’s for you own good.
Oil has never been “ethical”. From its very beginning it has been fraught with murder, deceit and war. To call something “ethical” because it is not as bad as something else is not only unethical but it is also immoral. It’s like calling a child molester ethical because he gave his victims candy before he abused them. Changing the name from “tar” to “oil” sands does not make it any cleaner. To let human life and the health of the planet get in the way of profit is now considered unethical.
So expect your government to lie to you. It’s the only ethical thing they can do because admitting the truth at this point would cost our economy millions and we all know that money is worth more than human life. To admit that our banking / financial system is fraud would cost us billions in profit. Keeping the lie alive will only cost us lives. In fact keeping the lie alive will make the rich even richer by profiting from war.
Being unethical is being ethical. To put human life and health ahead of profit is unethical. If you can’t handle that "truth is a lie" it’s because you’re not manly enough. Don’t you know it’s not ethical to be a lefty, feminist or believe in social justice! That’s as unethical as believing in Human Rights.
Unethical is new ethical.
NOT!

i am us(ing) the machine to teach you to teach the machine
Through the ages we have always had Ages... i'm sure sure of the order or all of them... now it is the machine teaching me to use it... or i would research and document... and my first post did not post and the poetic form was hard to... form... and i lost all my research.
So, back to age and the Ages of [Man] Persons, from the Dark Ages, or wherever we began. Then we had the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the Middle Age, the Agricultural Age (was that an age?), the Industrial Age (that was really a Revolution), the Technology Age, the Information Age... the Computer Age.
And now we are int the Age of Dreams Come True.
Just think, almost as fast as of something new is thought of it is designed and made.
The Machine is Us/ing Us
